Bike Bicycle DOT Oil Bleed Kit Tool for Avid Disc Brake

The Dot Oil Brake Bleed Kit is a comprehensive set of tools designed to make the process of bleeding your hydraulic disc brakes a straightforward and efficient task. Whether you have Avid, SRAM, HAYES, Formula, BNGAL, HOPE, or QUAD brakes, this kit is compatible with a wide range of brake systems.

To begin the bleeding process, first, ensure that your brakes are designed for Dot Fluid. Next, use the provided tools to remove the caliper bleed port screw from the caliper body. Then, fill one of the syringes included in the kit halfway with Dot Fluid, making sure to de-gas the fluid to remove any air bubbles.

With the fluid-filled syringe, thread it into the caliper bleed port, ensuring a secure connection. Proceed to remove the lever bleed port screw and thread the second syringe into the lever bleed port.

Gently push on the caliper syringe plunger to transfer the fluid from the caliper syringe into the lever syringe. Continue this process until the lever syringe is approximately one-quarter full, and the caliper syringe is correspondingly reduced to one-quarter full.

Once this step is complete, close the syringe clamp on the lever. Next, pull out and gently push in the caliper syringe plunger, repeating this action until large bubbles stop coming out of the caliper. Close the clamp on the caliper syringe and remove it.

To finish the job, wipe off any excess Dot Fluid from the brake lever and caliper, then reinstall the brake pads and spreader clip.
